The villa is located in a truly outstanding position on a small headland, overlooking the Mediterranean. The sea can be reached by walking over the rocks at the bottom of the gardens and the distance from the villa to the sea is approximately 80 metres.
THE RENTAL VILLA
The villa is set in beautiful gardens, which mainly consists of large grassed areas surrounded by flower beds and shrubs.
THE ACCOMMODATION
The villa has a front line position. A swimming pool is available for your use, approximately 5 minutes walk from the villas.
THE ISLAND OF MENORCA
The island is some 35 miles long and 9 miles wide, with 110 miles of coast line and 120 beaches of creamy white or golden sand with crystal clear seas, wooded hills and valleys filled with wild flowers
Menorca does not have the big resort feel, as found in other parts of Spain. There are very few tower blocks and high rise hotels. The majority of holiday resorts are made up of villas and apartments interspersed with white lime washed local houses and farms. The island has a good supply of fresh water which is used to keep the countryside lush, even in the hottest months of the year.
The two principal towns on the island are Mahon and Cuidadela. Mahon is the capital and close to the modern airport. Cuidadela is some 28 miles west of Mahon and is the former capital, it is particularly attractive because of its old world Spanish atmosphere and numerous buildings of historical and cultural interest. Both towns have good shopping facilities.
CALAN BOSCH
The resort of Calan Bosch is just 6 miles south of Ciudadela. There are two sandy beaches at Calan Bosch and Son Xoriguer. Calan Bosch beach is 15 minutes walk away.
Both beaches have beach bars, sun beds, parasols and Son Xoriguer has water sports and sailing facilities. Only 10 minutes walk from the property is a wide choice of restaurants and bars catering for all tastes ranging from simple snacks to A La Carte menus. There are also a good selection of shops and supermarkets. Evening entertainment is available at Calan Bosch and 6 miles away in Ciudadela.
Calan Bosch has a magnificent marina where you can arrange wind surfing, fishing, diving, and various island trips, either by land or sea.
A good local bus service is available, but to take full benefit of the many beautiful quiet beaches on the island we would recommend a car for a least part of the holiday.
